After realizing our 16 year old Jack Russel Terrier may not be the most capable of adventure dogs anymore, we ditched the snow covered and slippery Blackshale Suspension Bridge trail for a mellow walk around Barrier Lake. The blue water and towering peaks made for a fantastic back-up hike and was surprisingly devoid of crowds.
The only downside was the amount of goose poop Lulu rolled herself in.
